近年來電子商務(wù)發(fā)展迅速，國內(nèi)外電子商務(wù)網(wǎng)站如雨后春筍競相建立，加之世界各大著名的搜索引擎的推波助瀾，使得電子商務(wù)向更廣闊的空間發(fā)展，勢不可擋。本書正是根據(jù)電子商務(wù)學(xué)科的發(fā)展和教學(xué)改革的需要進行修訂的。

《電子商務(wù)英語》是適應(yīng)高等職業(yè)教育本、專科電子商務(wù)專業(yè)或相關(guān)專業(yè)的需要而編寫的專業(yè)英語教材。在編寫設(shè)計上出于以下考慮：

首先，它是專業(yè)英語教材而不是電子商務(wù)專業(yè)教材，是讓學(xué)生將英語作為學(xué)習(xí)電子商務(wù)專業(yè)知識的工具。因此，該書的課文部分并沒有按電子商務(wù)系統(tǒng)知識為主線編寫，而是選擇以當前最新的、最具有時代感的、與商務(wù)活動和計算機網(wǎng)絡(luò)相關(guān)的經(jīng)濟類和科普類文章為主要學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容。大多數(shù)課文及閱讀材料的內(nèi)容可讀性強。

其次，每課中所設(shè)計的“常用定義與術(shù)語”都是涉及計算機和電子商務(wù)活動的常用詞匯解釋，旨在擴大學(xué)生專業(yè)英語的詞匯量和提高學(xué)生閱讀專業(yè)文章的能力。

第三，考慮到本書的主要對象是大專院校的學(xué)生，他們的英語語法知識都已經(jīng)在中學(xué)階段和大學(xué)公共英語課程的學(xué)習(xí)階段中掌握，所以，本書不再重新介紹語法知識，個別語法現(xiàn)象在句子分析中解決。

第四，在每一課中都設(shè)有“技能訓(xùn)練”一項，旨在幫助學(xué)生提高英語應(yīng)用文寫作的能力，以便適應(yīng)電子商務(wù)活動主要依靠書面文字進行溝通的特點。

第五，為了方便學(xué)生閱讀，也為了提高學(xué)生快速閱讀與歸納總結(jié)的能力，以及英文書面表達的能力，在每課課文及閱讀材料的前面都配有該文的摘要和關(guān)鍵詞。

最后，為了方便自學(xué)者，在書后附有課文、閱讀材料和常用定義與術(shù)語的中文譯文以及練習(xí)答案。

本書共設(shè)十五課，建議安排120學(xué)時。教師可根據(jù)實際情況對課程內(nèi)容靈活使用，對課時安排予以調(diào)整。本書配有電子教案，可供讀者參考。

由于編者水平有限，書中錯誤及不當之處敬請讀者批評指正。
